Robin has worked in the property investment and management sector since 1976 when he started his career as a trainee Chartered Surveyor with Sanderson Townend & Gilbert in their Darlington office, moving on to their Teesside office before relocating to London.

During the 1980’s Robin worked in the national Agency departments of Hillier Parker (now CBRE), Leavers (now G L Hearn) and Stewart Newiss (now Colliers International) before being appointed national Agency Director for Jackson-Stops & Staff in 1987.

In 1990 he relocated to York where he jointly led a Consortium for the management buyout of the company and continued in all aspects of agency work until his retirement from the consortium in 2011.

Since then he has been advising private clients in development and investment matters. Current projects include residential land disposals, site assembly for retail development and investment acquisitions for High Net Worth individuals and institutional clients.

During his career Robin has advised clients including Legal & General, Land Securities, Cable Properties, Signet, TSB, Barratt Homes, Shepherd Homes and The Roman Catholic Diocese of Middlesbrough.

Tim has many years of experience across all areas of property-related transactions. In 1971 he joined Sanderson Townend & Gilbert who merged with Weatheralls in 2003 to form Sanderson Weatherall and had been with the practice since that time apart from the years 1973 to 1976 at which time he worked for Healey and Baker (Cushman Wakefield) in London. He had been a Partner of the Practice since 1981.
He specialises in providing Property Development, Investment, and Agency advice across the spectrum of commercial property in the North of England to both The Public and Private Sectors.
He has advised on several major regeneration developments in the North East; most recently the redevelopment of the former bus station in Bridlington for Fintry Estates to provide new units for Lidl & B & M and the redevelopment of the former Felling Shopping Centre near Gateshead on behalf of Caddick Developments and Helmsley Securities to provide a new supermarket for Asda plus unit shopping.

Previous developments include the Captain Cook Square Shopping Centre in Middlesbrough: Teesside Shopping Park; the purchase and redevelopment of Killingworth Town Centre by Wm Morrison Supermarkets: the redevelopment and regeneration of Thornaby Town Centre, Billingham Town Centre and Teesdale Business Park at Stockton on Tees. Tim has also been involved with the development of more than twenty supermarkets and superstores and over two million square feet of out-of-town retail.

Major clients have included Helical Bar plc., McAleer & Rushe, New River Retail, ASDA Wallmart, Commercial Development Projects Ltd, Caddick Developments, The Helmsley Group, Cleveland Cable, John Livingstone Estates The Roman Catholic Diocese of Middlesbrough, The Mandale Group, Trade Hair Supplies and Sterling Capitol. He has acted as Expert Witness in many Public and Private Sector Disputes and Enquiries.
